Bruce quits, Jane gets back out there, and Rogelio starts his new show, all on this episode of Jane the Virgin.

This week’s episode was all about flirting. Specifically, how easy it is to misread kindness as romantic interest. Jane found this out the hard way when she convinced herself that Mateo’s aide, Alex, was into her. She let him down gently, only to be horrified to learn that he was just being nice. Hoping to help her get back in the game, Rafael drags Jane out to Chuck’s hotel where, with Petra’s help, Jane winds up talking to a guy but derails things with mention of her dead husband. She shares the orde...

Mike and the Mad Dog the new ESPN 30 for 30 film from director Daniel H. Forer premieres on ESPN Thursday July 13th at 8pm. It chronicles the rise and eventual separation of two of the most popular pioneers in sports talk radio with not nearly enough depth or insight.

In the mid-1980s, the concept of Sports Talk Radio was just a dream of a few program directors. Sports talk existed over the airwaves, but it was typically one show in a market or a national radio host trying to do a catch-all program for syndication.

In 1987, WFAN in New York decides to go 24-hour sports, all-day every day. They launch with a host of programs and...

Emma confronts Hook, Regina turns over a new leaf, and a surprising couple gets their happy ending, all on this episode of Once Upon a Time.

This week’s hour began in the Enchanted Forest, with the pre-curse Evil Queenyou guessed ithunting Snow White. After the Queen nearly catches Snow, Tinkerbell stops by to remind her of the man with the lion tattoo, a.k.a. Robin Hood, and her chance at true love. The Queen gets angry but allows her father to distract her with a new plan. He shows her one of her mother’s spell books, which he says will help defeat Snow Whi...

The Night Of has become preoccupied with John Turturro’s heroic lawyer John Stone to the detriment of the rest of the show’s increasingly large cast. Even Naz himself is starting to feel like a supporting player in the saga that is Stone’s life. The good news is that “The Season of the Witch” shifted course a little. While Stone remains the only character whose private life is of interest to writers Richard Price and Steve Zaillian, this episode did shine a light on other characters who have been underused for far too long.

There are two methods of getting someone to comply with your wishes – the carrot and the stick. The carrot is the lure of attaining something coveted. The stick is punishment for non-compliance. Both were on display in this week’s episode of The Walking Dead.

Negan uses a combination of the two, ruling mostly with fear and intimidation, but also (surprisingly) using psychology to woo those who he thinks will buy-in to his way of thinking.

Rick, on the other hand, seems to be almost strictly a stick man. When he needs someone to comply, it usually ends badly for those who don’t get on board with his desires. While he’s not as overt as N...
